San Francisco, CA - September 3, 2024 - Alto announced today the appointment of Michael Einodshofer RPh, a seasoned pharmacy executive and industry expert, to its board of advisors.
Since its formation in 2020, the Alto board of advisors has provided the company with strategic guidance and helped ensure that the company’s efforts are both impactful and efficient, with services grounded in the highest standards of operational excellence. Michael brings to the board extensive experience in pharmacy benefit management and specialty pharmacy, a track record of enhancing drug access and patient care, and a deep commitment to making healthcare more accessible and affordable.
Michael is a seasoned pharmacist and former senior executive in pharmacy benefits management and specialty pharmacy. He currently provides expert independent advisory services to healthcare organizations, leveraging his extensive industry experience. Previously, he was Chief Pharmacy Officer at OptumRx, where he managed pharmacy services for more than 65 million patients. He also served as Chief Pharmacy Officer and Executive Vice President at Maxor National Pharmacy Services and held leadership roles at Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy, UPMC Health Plan, and at retail and hospital pharmacies. Michael is the former Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy.
